Volunteering is fun and rewarding. If you are looking for a way to give back to your community, consider donating some time to the Douglas Country Democratic Party (DCDP). We need people with a variety of skills and expertise. Everything from working as a member of a committee to walking alongside the DCDP float in the summer parades. Whether you're a "people person" or consider yourself a technical expert, we need your help!

Volunteer Opportunities Available with DCDP

Precinct Committee People / Precinct Committee Alternates (PCP/PCA)

Reach out to fellow Democrats in their neighborhood as representatives of the Democrate Party. There are 145 individual precincts in Douglas County and we need PCP's and PCA's for each precinct. PCP/PCA's communicate with their Democrat and independent neighbors and with DCDP. Monthly and quarterly meetings are held to keep PCP/PCA's informed and to provide direction.

District Co-Captain - Highlands Ranch/Lone Tree/Roxborough | District Co-Captain - Parker | District Captain - Castle Rock

District Captains work with a Co-Captain and PCP/PCA's within their geographical district. Monthly district meetings help keep everyone current on events and happenings.

DCDP Committee Members

Committee chairs and members work together to bring in new members, coordinate events, and work with political candidates.

Volunteer to Work on a Campaign or to Reach Out to Voters

In 2016, local county candidates will run for State House Representative positions for HD 39, HD 43, HD 44, and HD 45, and State Senate position for district 4. We are looking for volunteers to reach out to registered Democrats by making phone calls and canvassing, hosting events in their homes and entering data to support these efforts.

Volunteer to Work at an Event

Watch our Events Calendar for special events and information on how you can be a part of the DCDP community outreach. If you enjoy meeting new people, consider volunteering to work in our booth at Parker Days, 4th of July Celebration and Douglas County Fair and Rodeo in the summer.
