For Colorado Democrats one extremely encouraging result of the 2016 election was the election of Rebecca McClellan to the State Board of Eduction from Congressional District 6.  Now, for the first time in many years, Democrats are in the majority on the board.   Since public education has become a major political issue and Republicans are pushing  to privatize the education system and to turn over our tax dollars to private interests, it is critical that Democrats stand strong on issues of public education.  For the September meeting of the Parker Democrats, Rebecca will join us to discuss what is happening in Colorado regarding education and to share with us insight into how a Democrat can win in Congressional District 6, which includes a significant part of northern Douglas County.
