Tim Redetzke has nearly fourteen years of experience in the accounting profession, obtained his CPA license in Colorado and South Dakota, and his MBA from the University of Denver.
Delana Maynes is a lifelong Democrat who has volunteered for the Douglas County Democrats since 2003 starting as a Precinct Committee Person, a position she holds to this day. She was the chair of House District 43 from 2009-2015. She has volunteered and helped run the caucuses in the county since 2006 and was on the party’s Annual Dinner Committee from 2011 to 2016. She was elected Secretary in 2015 and elected as assistant secretary in 2017. She has helped in voter protection, worked on platform committees and worked at the 2008 Democratic Convention as a Volunteer Captain, where she supervised volunteers for The American Presidential Exhibit.
In her spare time, Delana works on education-related issues in Douglas County and, in the past, has worked on numerous campaigns for candidates and ballot issues. Delana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado, Denver. She lives in Highlands Ranch with her husband, two wonderful children and a crazy dog.

Patrick Wellman moved to Colorado in 2009 and lives in Roxborough with his wife and two golden retrievers. He works as a technical advisor, writer, and software developer for Retriever Software (no relation to the goldens). He is an accomplished author of children’s books, screenplays for motion picture and television, commercial advertising for radio and television, business planning, new media, and web design and development. Patrick graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern New Hampshire University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Technology. He has been an active member of the Democratic Party since 1978. He has also held the office of President and President-Elect for the Kiwanis Club in Eureka, California and Springfield, MO. Patrick has a daughter who coordinates events for the Special Olympics and a granddaughter, both living in Utah.
LeAnn grew up in Montgomery, Alabama and went to college at Auburn University at Montgomery where she majored in Biology. She moved to Colorado in 1991. She worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 15 years before becoming a campaign staffer. She worked on Andrew Romanoff’s campaign for Congress and Beth McCann’s Denver DA race. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, gardening and being outdoors.
Howard Chou is originally from Northern California but has been in Highlands Ranch since 2007. He first worked in Political Market Research during the 2000 Gore v. W Bush election and on the live CBS Instapol debates between the two presidential candidates. In the past nine years, he has worked in online Market Research including ad and message testing with online polling for the last three Democratic Presidential campaigns. Along the way, he has worked on many Democratic candidate races and several ballot initiative surveys spanning all around the country. Howard is also Campaign Advisor to many local campaigns and an avid surrogate of Morgan Carroll, working on her recent Colorado Democratic Chair election. A state Delegate in 16 and a volunteer across four counties, his activism and community work stretches all over the Denver metro area.

Maritza Carrera a well-known, longtime Democratic leader from Highlands Ranch was elected Chair of the Douglas County Democrats in February of 2017.
Known for her passion and purpose in building a grassroots organization, Maritza and her husband Christian founded the Highlands Ranch Democrats in 2004. Over the past thirteen years, more than one thousand new Democrats have participated in Highlands Ranch democratic meetings.
As a party “changemaker”, Maritza Carrera became a Precinct Captain in 2003. She was nominated as the House District 43 Chair and became part of the Douglas County Executive Committee. Continuing her local party building work, Maritza was elected as Highlands Ranch District Captain from 2004-2008. Most recently, Maritza served as the First Vice Chair of Douglas County Democrats and remains on the Colorado State Party Executive Committee.
In 2006, Maritza received the “Democrat of the Year” award from the Douglas County Democratic Party. In addition to her work in Douglas County, Maritza supports many groups such as the Arapahoe County Latina Initiative. One of her overall goals is to connect with neighboring counties and create a strong progressive community.
Maritza’s vision for Douglas County not only includes growing the local Democratic Party, but also nurturing the interest in politics at every level.
